Freelance science journalist.

Pacific Coast based.

About.

I write stories about science — both silly and serious. My work has an environmental focus, but I enjoy reporting on a range of topics, from ecology to chemistry.

My words have appeared in outlets such as The New York Times, Nature, National Geographic, Scientific American and others.

I received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Northern Arizona University, and a master’s degree from the UC Santa Cruz Science Communication Program.

I’m currently available for commissions. In addition to writing, I also offer fact-checking and editing services.

Based in Bend, Oregon.
